The Nile is famous as the longest river in the world, and holds huge significance in regards ancient Egypt. Most of Egypt's historical sites are located along the banks of the Nile River. Aswan an idyllic city in Egypt—located in southern Egypt, a great place to explore that country's epic history. Luxor, once an Ancient Egyptian capital, is known today as the world's greatest open-air museum. Cairo the largest and fascinating city in the middle east- the birthplace of one of the greatest civilizations of the ancient world, and home to one of the Seven Wonders of the world the Pyramids of Giza.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Thursday

Departure on your way to Egypt, The Land of the Pharaohs.

Day 2 - Friday

Arrival at the Cairo international airport and directly connect with departure flight to Aswan. Arrival at Aswan airport, meet/assist and transfer to embark the cruise ship M/S Radamis I or M/S Solaris II.
Overnight Nile River Cruise boat- including Dinner.
Included:
Transfer from Aswan domestic airport to Nile River Cruise boat.
Dinner on cruise.
4 Star Standard boat cruise accommodations.

Day 3 - Saturday

Visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries and Philae temple. Sail to Komombo. Visit the temple shared by the two gods, Sobek and Harories. Sail to Edfu.
Overnight on Nile River Cruise boat – including Full Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Day 4 - Sunday

Visit the temple of Horus in Edfu. Breakfast on board. Sail to Luxor via Esna and cross the Esna lock. Lunch on board, afternoon at leisure and enjoy sailing.
Overnight on Nile River Cruise boat – including Full Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Day 5 - Monday

Disembarkation after breakfast, visit the West Bank, including the Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens, Hatshepsut temple at Al Deir El Bahari and Colossi of Memnon, visit the East Bank, including Karnak and Luxor temples. Transfer to Luxor airport for departure flight to Cairo. Arrival at the Cairo Domestic airport, meet/assist, transfer to Ramses Hilton hotel for check-in.
Overnight Cairo- including Dinner and Breakfast.

  4. Philae Temple is an island in the reservoir of the Aswan Low Dam, downstream of the Aswan Dam and Lake Nasser, Egypt. The temple was built for the Goddess Isis and is one of the greatest temples in Egypt.

  9. Esna Lock, pass through the Esna Lock's at the site of the Old Dam on the Nile River.

  11. Valley of the Kings a UNESCO World Heritage Site it is where nearly all pharaohs were burried from the 18th to 20th dynasty from Thutmose I to Ramses X.
  12. Valley of the Queens is a place in Egypt where wives of Pharaohs were buried in ancient times and known as Ta-Set-Neferu, meaning –"the place of the Children of the Pharaoh."
  13. The Deir el-Bahri Temple Complex also spelled Deir el-Bahari includes one of the most beautiful temples in Egypt, perhaps in the world, built by the architects of the New Kingdom Pharaoh Hatshepsut in the 15th century BC.
  14. Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. For the past 3400 years they have stood in the Theban necropolis, across the River Nile from the modern city of Luxor.
  15. Karnak- Temple Complex, commonly known as Karnak, comprises a vast mix of decayed temples, chapels, pylons, and other buildings.
    Luxor Temple - is a great temple complex located on the east bank of the Nile River in the modern city of Luxor. The site was dedicated to Amun, a creator of god often fused with the sun-god Ra into Amun-Ra.

Tips during your Nile River Upper Egypt cruise and Cairo tour: It's important to consider your Tour Guides and Drivers work very hard to make your tour an experience of a lifetime, and most of their annual income comes from the generosity of those they are serving during the tours. It is recommended that tour guides are given at least $6.00 per touring day per person, and drivers are given at least $4.00 per touring day per person. Please consider also hotel staff during your stay, and other staff that will support you during your tour.
