The Jordan River, also knows as the River Jordan flows through the land of the Bible 156 miles draining it’s water in to the Dead Sea. Along the Jordan River you’ll find Yardenit, perhaps one of the most spiritual significant sites to visit during a Holy Land tour to Israel.

Among many global achievements for Israel one has particular pride to many scholars. The recognition of six Israeli sites by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)’s World Heritage List. The Israeli sites had to meet UNESCO’s strict criteria to be included on the 830 prestigious sites around the world. Israel has great pride of it’s heritage and protects and fosters these UNESCO sites to ensure the availability of them for future generations.

The Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem

Church of the Holy Sepulcher (Matthew 33:57, Matthew 27, Matthew 28:10) in Jerusalem is identified as the crucifixion and the tomb of Jesus. This large and complex church has long been a major pilgrimage center for Christians all around the world. Six denominations in and around the church are Christianity’s most ancient. Including the less known church of the Ethiopians, who trace their origins to Christianity back to Philip’s conversion on the Ethiopian eunuch (Acts 8:26-34 ).

The Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes, or simply known as the Church of the Multiplication is a Catholic church situated in Tabgha along the shores of the Sea of Galilee. It commemorates the miraculous feeding of five thousand people as mentioned in the Scriptures in Mark 6:30-44, right before Jesus walked on water.

The Galilean region is stunning, spiritual, powerful and uplifting place to visit on a Christian tour to Israel. Here you’ll find scenic hills and slopes of the Galilee gently reaching down to the Sea of Galilee, the famous lake from the Bible where Jesus found His disciples and the largest fresh-water lake in the land of Israel.
